Lump of coal- Recipe for the naughtiest of pups!
Let’s be clear, we believe all dogs are angels. But that does not mean we can’t have a bit of fun come Christmas morning, by filling their stocking with lumps of coal and make them wonder who is the good boy then?
Rest assured, these are not real lumps of coal but rather yummy parsley, mint and activated charcoal treats, that will freshen your dog’s breath and help with digestion of their Christmas feast.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour (normal, rice or chickpea flour)
- 1 tsp activated charcoal (found in health food stores)
- 1 ½ tbsp dry mint & parsley
- Filtered water
Method:
- In a food processor using a dough hook, place flour, charcoal and dried herbs together.
- Mix and slowly add filtered water until it becomes doughy and forms a ball.
- Roll the dough with a rolling pin and cut round shapes.
- Bake on a tray lined with parchment paper at 180°C for 12-14min.
