Calming chamomile gummies
Not only are these little gummies pretty, they are the treat you want on hand if your pup is stressed and anxious or, has a hard time settling down.
Give your super-active pup one of these gummies at night time to help them come down from their daily antics or when you leave the house.
Let's take a closer look at the ingredients:
Chamomile helps with mild anxiety, stress and insomnia, inducing a stressed-out pup into a more relaxed state.
It is also a natural muscle relaxant and as such, will help a pup with tense muscles.
Finally, chamomile is used to help ease stomach upset or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and can also calm down inflamed and irritated skin if used topically. What a wonderful herb!!
Lavender is well known for its relaxing properties. It helps soothe your dog physically and emotionally.
Dog calming chamomile gummies
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp Chamomile tea (loose leaves)
- 1/2 tsp lavender buds
- 3 tbsp gelatin (or 1 1/2 tbsp agar agar)
- Cinnamon powder (optional)
- Silicone mould
Method:
- In a small teapot, brew the chamomile and lavender for 3-6min.
- Transfer 1/2 cup of this liquid into a glass bowl or jug.
- Add 3tbsp of gelatin and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Stir well to combine.
- Pour into moulds. You can use a sieve to remove any gelatin that hasn't combines well.
- Place in the fridge until set.
Feed one a day for a small-medium dog and up to two a day for a large dog.
Disclaimer: Be sure to go through your dog’s current medications list with your veterinarian before adding chamomile to their treatment regimen, as herbal product can interfere with some medications.
